Retail is now a sophisticated, fast-paced, service-oriented and entrepreneurial industry. It is a vibrant part
of any economy and now offers not just local, but global career opportunities. Like a lot of industries,
however, most positions today demand people who have committed themselves to further education.
These courses provide the foundation skills and knowledge through nationally recognised vocational training for an individual to be able to commence and advance their career in the retail industry.
What will be learnt:
CSA Training Services offers three certificates in retail.
Certificate I, providing the foundation
Certificate II, for those looking for more than a foundation and aspiring to supervisory roles
Certificate III, for experienced retail staff, team leaders, and those in or wishing to progress to supervisory and management roles.
Course outline and structure:
These courses will provide first class training and learner support. CSA Training Services has over 20 years experience in delivering many different kinds of nationally accredited and recognised community training programs designed to meet the needs of learners from a broad range of backgrounds, including culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD).
Certificate I: 5 core subjects
Certificate II: 9 core subjects and 5 electives
Certificate III: 3 core subjects and 7 electives
It is Australia’s nationally recognised and accredited qualification in Retail Services, and is designed for those starting out and getting an understanding of the industry right through to developing a long term view and a desire to have a career in the Retail Industry.
During the course workplace-based experience will be undertaken to solidify practical experience and skills.
Entry requirements:
There is no formal prerequisite for this qualification, however a sound understanding of English with suggested year 10 or equivalent completion is recommended and preferred.
RPL – is offered to any learner who can provide evidence of competency for units offered within these certificates. During the enrolment process a potential learner will complete a checklist and discuss any prior experience before commencing to determine their eligibility for RPL.
Training Schedule:
Cert I up to six week with work experience
Cert II up to 16 weeks with work experience
Cert III 12 – 14 weeks with work experience |
